Advent Candles
Candles are very popular during the festive season but if you have young children then they are not very practical. These candles can be made for any theme and allow you to keep the tradition of having candles but without any risk!
Materials:
- toilet roll/kitchen roll tube
- paint, any colour you want
- semi-circle of dark coloured paper
- scissors
- tissue paper, foil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut the cardboard tube into a candle shape. Make sure you leave a ring at the bottom (as in the photograph) so the tube will stand up.
2. Paint your candle and the holder at the bottom. If you prefer you can glue tissue paper or foil instead.
3. Colour the flame of the candle.
4. Place the semi-circle of dark paper behind the candle, this makes it look brighter.
