December 2017: Let’s Celebrate
Mothering Matters – Switzerland is celebrating five years online, but in total our magazine is 24 years old, having begun in 1994. In “those days,” the Internet wasn’t used as much, and a printed journal with useful articles for families in Switzerland was very welcome. In 2012 we started working on publishing Mothering Matters solely as an online resource and in January 2013 our website was launched. In that time we’ve grown and gained more readers, but guess what? Now you’re reading the final issue of Mothering Matters – Switzerland! But don’t be shocked; actually we aren’t really going anywhere. In February, 2018 we’ll be relaunching as Family Matters – Switzerland with a new look, new address and new logo but with the same informative articles. It’s all very exciting! Please check our Facebook or Instagram pages for the details, plus this website will still be online for a while to come. Looking forward to again having you on board for the next stage of the journey.
At this stage it must be mentioned how or rather by whom Mothering Matters is created. It’s made by a group of committed people who put each issue together with love, effort and enthusiasm. Usually there are 20 to 30 individuals writing, editing, illustrating, administrating and more to get each issue out. We are all unpaid: we do it because we believe in it and we know we’re providing support and valuable information for families in Switzerland. Thank you to all members of the Team. You’re all wonderful, creative, motivated individuals, mwahh!
But now there is a holiday season to enjoy and a new year to usher in. Wishing you and your family all the very best as you create precious memories together over the festive season, and may 2018 be filled with love, happiness, good health and friendship.
