Gifting Granola
I love receiving homemade granola, aka toasted müesli, during the holidays, because unlike cookies and candies, I don’t feel quite so guilty eating as much granola as I like, any time I like. I have, on occasion, eaten it three times a day, for breakfast, afternoon snack and an after-midnight treat. I’ll eat it plain out of hand, with milk like cereal, stirred into yogurt, and sprinkled on ice cream. It’s super easy to make and makes a pretty package, nestled in a cute glass jar. I suggest you whip up a few batches for your favorite friends and deliver immediately before you eat it all yourself.
Below are my go-to classic version and a chocolate version. Neither are very sweet, so add more sugar if you have a sweet tooth. Both recipes came from dear friends that gifted me their scrumptious granola. Hooray for friends that cook!
