Mini Helicopter
Both of my boys are transport mad, and we have an entire transport infrastructure in our home – from trains to buses, trams to (numerous) aeroplanes. However, their absolute favourite type of transport is a helicopter, so we had a lot of fun adding to their fleet by making these mini-helicopters.
Materials:
- An old egg box cut into sections
- Paint
- One split pin (brass paper fastener)
- 2 strips of card
- Scissors
Instructions:
1) First cut up your egg box. You need one egg section (the bit where the egg sits), one tall section cut in half and the very top of a tall part per helicopter (see the accompanying photos for a visual explanation).
2) Paint all the sections and allow them to dry.
3) Glue the tall section to the back of the egg section to make the tail.
4) Push the split pin/paper fastener through the middle of the strips of cards. Then attach this to the top of the tall part tomake the rotor, and glue it on top of the helicopter.
5) Let the glue dry, and your helicopter is ready for take off!
