Writing Contest for Kids!

Mothering Matters Online Journal is sponsoring a writing contest for kids. The theme is An Amazing Summer Day.  Writers should tell about a special day during the summer holidays and include either a drawing or a photo. The story, written in English, can be fiction or non-fiction. There will be two categories: ages 6-8 and ages 9-12.

The story should have no more than 700 words. Judges are looking for creative yet logical narratives.

Dear Mothering Matters, dear Ms Bider,
My daugher Lizzy finished writing her story for the writing contest today and we’ll be sending it via A-Post tomorrow. We’re concerned that the letter might arrive late and I wanted to know if there is any way we could email a scanned version.
    Best regards,
    Ester

Hello Ester, As long as it’s posted on or before the 6th September, then it will be accepted. If you post it tomorrow (the 5th) it will be fine. Thanks for letting us know.
